Thundercat Garlic Naan - Going Indian at Anjappar in Bangsar

They say, taste memory lasts a long time, especially if it's an amazing gastronomy experience. I remembered Mr Deva brought us (Management Trainees) here back in 2007 and I cannot forget how good it was. Everytime I detoured Bangsar to get back home, I'd always peek and checked out if Anjappar was still there and when I'd be lucky enough to try it. So, one day, with good of a chance, without hesitation, I finally came back here. Everything was as good as I could remember. Each small serving portion ranges from about RM5-8. Free flow of drinking water.

Onion Pakoda - "Spiced Onion fritters"
I used to hate onions & garlic, but you cannot taste that spicy, pungent onion here. Its batter is lightly spiced, and the portion overwhelmed us for a starter dish.

Chicken Tikka with yoghurt mint sauce

If you're a sucker for protein, try the Chicken Tikka, spiced chicken. Comes with a yoghurt-mint (correct me if my taste bud went salah) sauce.

My fav - Aloo Gobi
Aloo Gobi simply translates "Cauliflower & Potatoes" with great blend of spices. Tastes much better than the one at Piccadily's in PJ.

My Thundercat/Kitty shaped Garlic Naan
Again, I need to give myself a pat on the back for trying this. As I've mentioned, I used to hate garlic/onions. But this huge piece of flat bread is a great substitute for rice and how can you have curry without rice/bread kan?? Kan? :D

Vegetable Kurma
Lastly, vegetable kurma. None of the above dishes were spicy, as a matter of fact. I have to say, it was a satisfying meal. Total cost? 5 dishes for about RM42.

It's a definite must try! You won't regret it!
