Easy Frozen Yoghurt Ice Cream without Machine (Plain & Green Tea)

Froyo has been popular in KL for the past couple of years and if you've tried it, it costs approximately RM10 for a plain froyo/ yoghurt ice cream. Since I make overnight oatmeal almost every other day, I wanted to make something easy, simple and fastest with the ingredients I already have at home. The best part is you don't even need an ice cream maker & can make this yummy dessert under 3 minutes. If you're lazy, you can just shove the yoghurt tub into your freezer. RM10 and more saved!!Sorry Moo Cow, Froyo, Tutti Fruitti & all the Froyo franchises out there!

What you need:
Plain/Greek Yoghurt (Try this brand, Farm Fresh as their yoghurt taste yummier)
Sugar
Green Tea Powder (optional)
Measuring cups
Popsicle or cute ice cube trays

Makes 4 popsicle servings + 4 heart shaped cubes
Plain Yoghurt Recipe:

2 Cups of Plain Yoghurt
1/4 cup of sugar

Yields 4 servings

Instructions:
1. Whisk plain yoghurt in bowl (After whisking, your yoghurt will become really smooth)
2. Add 1/4 cup of sugar & whisk mixture
3. Fill into popsicle tray
4. Chill it in freezer for few hours

I only filled one Popsicle tray and saved the rest for a second recipe, Green Tea Yoghurt Ice Cream. When I tasted the batter, Holy Cow! Tasted exactly like Moo Cow!
Green Tea Yoghurt Ice Cream:

2 Cups of Plain Yoghurt
1/4 Cups of sugar
Green Tea Powder

1. Using the same batter earlier, add green tea powder till you're happy with color and taste
2. Whisk well so that there aren't clumps
3. Fill up the remaining moulds
4. Chill it in freezer

Let your Freezer do its thing.

Summertime madness!

Popsicle sticks can be a tricky thing, so run the bottom case under water for a while. You should be able to slowly retrieve your frozen ice cream popsicles. Took me quite a while to get both popsicles that my heart shape cubes have started to melt. :D This is a great & yummy dessert for adults and kids because it's cheap, healthy and takes less than 5 minutes to prepare! You can serve this with frozen fruits like blueberry, strawberry, raspberry and more! Happy trying peepz!
