You cannot eat the same food everyday, and the same goes for skin. Prolonged use of the same old cleanser and BB cream, continued stress and lack of sleep has made my selfies unattractive these days. As you can see, my skin has really become dull, tired and so bad. Here's a a shot of what I mean.
Haha, no photoshop. This was taken under natural sunlight after I woke up. As you can see, eye bag, dark eye circle, oily T-zone, BIG pores and dark spots. Kinda like sight for sore face. LOL
My sis is a big fan of Hada Labo and when the brand launch new line of cleansers, I didn't hesitate to try this for Deep Cleanse and Pore Refining. Because it does not make sense with just one cleanse, so here's my 8 day trial using this product.
Before cleansing, wet face first.
Latest Cleanser from Hada Labo for Deep Clean & Pore Refining. Only RM18 (promo) from Guardian Pharmacy. Suitable for daily use, twice each day.
Pea sized product is more than enough for my small face. The texture has a rich and milky texture. Just be careful when dispensing it to avoid excess or wastage. Wet your face and mix product until it foams in your palm.
Massage product all over face, don't forget those around-the-nose area! This is how i normally apply my cleanser:
1. Temple/Forehead - From the centre, outward circular motion to corner of your eyes.
2. Cheeks - From the apples of your cheeks, circular clockwise motions.
3. Nose - Massage across the bridge of your nose, then corners (where all the pores are at)
4. Chin/Jawline - Start from under your lower lips, circular motion towards your jawline
Not only will you cleanse your face thoroughly, but this improves your skin's circulation as well.
After |
Here's after the cleanse. Feeling? Skin felt clean, and when I ran my fingers through my cheeks and nose, didn't feel the black/white heads. Overall first time use is pretty okay. Spot the nose glow..haha!
Day 2: Early in the morning, naked face after cleanse before I got ready for work. I can feel my skin moisturized & supple after cleansing, and when I applied serum, moisturizer and sunblock, the products seem to absorb rather fast. Overall skin feels fresh and supple.
Day 3: Did notice skin peel around nose area after morning cleanse. Noticeably larger pores as I was too tired and skipped all of my skin care steps the night before. Here's what happens when you skip your other skin care steps - your skin can dry out, produce excessive sebum which results in oily T-zone. You can see my nose area is pretty red. I think I need more H20 (Look at my dry lips!!)
Day 4: Getting ready for work, with only BB Cream. Can feel my skin smoother and no black head or white head bumps especially on my nose. Let's see how Day 5 will go. :D
Day 5: After morning cleanse - Super radiant, naked face. As you can see, pores seem to be smaller and not as scary as before. Less redness around the nose area. Once your skin is radiant, you know your bb cream will just make your skin look flawless.
Day 6: This is me at work, with just a thin layer of BB cream on. Sorry for the red eye, I have really sensitive and psychic eyes. Yes, it gets red a day before haze happens or when environment is too dusty.
Day 8: After a long day at work! It's normal to have an oiler T-zone after a long day, but you can tell my skin still feels radiant.
Overall here are my ratings for the Hada Labo Cleanser (Deep Clean & Pore Refining Formula) which I used twice daily for 8 days and to date:
Skin Texture: Soft & Supple 8/10
Cleansed Skin: Clean & clear 9/10
Reduction in Pore Size: Not significant but visible 7/10
Pricing: Affordable (under RM20) 10/10
Although cleanser alone will not be enough to clear your skin problems, make sure that you apply the rest of the skin care steps like toner, serum, moisturizer and masks as regular as possible to improve your skin complexion. For the price of RM18, I think this is a pretty economical product to try if you have visible pores like me. Happy trying, Xoxo - ohsoaud
