Undeniably true that there has been a lot of coffee places that are mushrooming in KL, but it's not easy to find a good Italian place. Not too long ago, I had the chance to try out this place in Sri Hartamas (Opposite Plaza Damas) called icook Italian. And the best thing about this place is that they have pork in their menu, which is rare in KL city.
Spoiled for Italian choices. Besides the menu, there are daily specials. Do ask for the staff for chef's recommendation.
Complimentary bread with olive oil & basalmic vinegar. Really soft and similar to pita bread in fact.
Since there were 3 of us, we ordered one pizza and chef's daily recommendation.
One of chef's recommendation of the day - Cacciucco. Basically it's seafood in tomato stew. RM55/pot. Looked small from picture but there were generous servings of fish and other seafood (buried underneath).
Loved the fresh fish and sea produce, but it was too bland for me. A pinch of salt would have made a difference.
A very sad pizza that arrived an hour later. As you can see, prosciutto was so paper thin and was added to the pizza way too early. Pizza tasted okay, normal jer..
Because it was bland as well, added chilli flakes and tabasco sauce to give it a kick!
Orange juice to teman me for the night.
Cacciucco: 6/10
Pizza: 5/10
Service: 4/10 (Had to wait for one hour for one sad pizza)
Price: 6/10
