Chinese New Year - My Favourite 8

Happy Lunar New Year to all Chinese all over the world. As we take a break to travel back home to loved ones and family, don't we get to sinfully indulge in everything good yet bad every year?

That tradition of pigging out on all cookies, cakes, food and alcohol is certainly one that cannot miss. Am super happy to take a break from the crazy, hectic KL life to be back in Miri.

Here's my top 8 favourites every CNY:

#1 REUNION DINNER: This year's simple reunion dinner. Told mum not to make too much and tire herself. It was a first that we finished all the dishes (just 6 of us this year). Alcohol is a must in Swak or else you will get the 'senapang'. LOL

#2 BOOZE UP: Alcohol is super cheap in East Malaysia, and why we love our alcohol so much? When it cost RM80 for a carton! (RM3.33/can). That myth of RM10 for 3 cans is true ya'll.

When your dad randomly makes this for ya. That's cognac on the rocks.

#3 LIFE'S A BEACH: Stressed much? Beach is just 10 minutes drive away and just sit & watch as the dusk sets at 6.20pm.

#4 JACK OF ALL SPADES: The Chinese weren't kidding when they say HUAT this season. Time to gamble & earn more ka-CHING. (I was betting over drinks)

#5 CHICKEN SOUP & MEE SUA: Tradition for the foochows to have a bowl of delicious chicken soup & mee suah (longevity noodles) for good health & life ahead. (Lol, actually foochows have this almost every other day & occassion)

#6 PRAWN CRACKERS: Best with beer on the side (and catching up on the latest RM)

#7 PET SELFIE: Cause human selfie is just boring.

#8 ANGPAU MARI: Keep the money coming. Red envelope with cash.

LOL, wishing all of you Gong Xi Fa Cai!
