In Search for Flare Dress - Aud's ZALORA Inspired Summer Beach #OOTD

It's summer season and don't you just wanna give your #ootd more likes? It's been 2 years since my last beach escapade and have been complaining to everyone about beach withdrawal with the never ending, dramatic work commitments. I am so in dying need of Vitamin Sea this year! Stay tuned for my vacay post :)

Looking good in your vacay photos can be daunting, especially if you're in paradise and the only thing ruining your selfie is your ugly, uncoordinated clothes. It's always a nightmare for me when it comes to packing for I could start packing clothes like 2 weeks ahead and still cannot decide what I wanna wear even up till the traveling day. You know, cause if a pair of shoes didn't go with the other outfits, and vice versa, it ruined the universal quantum of great selfies! LOL, anybody else as OCD as me? (Raise your hands please)

Been receiving lotsa summer trends e-newsletters from ZALORA and here's my take to making every selfie worth it for your summer beach vacay:

1) Airport OOTD

Style starts the moment you travel and never ever think you can get away with ugly airport outfits.
Here's my #airportselfie coordinate:

Top from MANGO Suits, Clutch from Michael Kors, Shorts from Uniqlo, Sunnies from WASP Korea, Bikini Top from Kiosk in Plaza Damas & Ballerina Flats from ZALORA
  • White top - sheer, long sleeves keep you warm amidst the cold airport and just roll up when you've reached the warm, humid island.
  • Bikini top - With the sheer white top, all eyes will be on you! Otherwise opt for a bra top camisole underneath. Always pack light and leave those padded bras at home. :)
  • Shorts - Go for darker shorts to add contrast to your top.
  • Clutch - Just adds gaya - to store your passport, mobile phone, cash and boarding passes.
  • Ballerina Flats - For airport #ootd. Switch to your sandals the moment you've reached islands so you won't have sweaty feet.
2) Life's A Beach

Top from Mykonos, Greece, Shorts from Uniqlo, Purple Bikini Top from Victoria Secret & Sandals from Chatucak, Bangkok
  • Statement Top - Make everyone stare at your boobs. Comes with wide side slits, allowing more skin and boobage show!
  • Shorts - If it ain't wet yet, wear this as many times as you can.
  • Bikini Top - Add a pop of color to this cool, basic ensemble
  • Sandals - slip it on or go barefoot on the beach

3) Color Up

Top from MANGO, Shorts from H&M,  Sunnies from WASP, Bikini from O'Reef & Sandals from Ipanema, Brazil
  • Pink Top - Pick a color that'll look outstanding on your skin tone and against the sky and sea.
  • Floral Shorts - Does this make you wanna have coconut or what?
  • Black Bikini Top & Bottom - Always go by the rule if your outfit is loud, go subtle on the bikini color and vice versa.
  • Sandals - Love these color block sandals, all the way from Brazil.

4) Night Out

Top from Vero Moda, Zalora, Shorts from FOS, Bikini from Roxy, Bali & Sandals from Chatucak, Bangkok
  • Summer Floral Top - Loved this the moment I saw on Zalora. It's sheer and you can go formal, casual and beach with this. Pair a dark color bikini top or black bra and you're set for night out.
  • Shorts - Paired this with earthy brown tone.
  • Bikini Top/Black Bra - Trust me, when the light hits your top, all that's underneath will prevail! ;)
  • Sandals - Minimalist style to go with this.

5) Tribal Spirits

Strapless dress from Billabong, Sunnies from WASP, Korea & Espadrilles from Marks & Spencer
  • Tribal style strapless dress - One of my must haves for beach. You can opt to get away without bra or slip in a bright bikini top under this. Flare dress hides tummy well.
  • Sunnies - I really love this brand - WASP from Korea because it's designed for Korean, ahem Asian face and it doesn't touch your cheeks like most European brands do, perfect for oval shaped face like mine. A thoughtful gift from my bestie & her hubby.
  • Espadrilles - This is my 2nd pair of espadrilles from Marks & Spencer (RM139.90) and they're the best pair ever. Bring this along if your island destination has proper roads or walking pavements. Otherwise, your beach sandals are just fine.
Yeah, I'm missing a couple more summer 2016 styles - flare dress styles, washed out denim shorts and a sun hat. Oh well, some retail therapy wouldn't kill ey? Have had my eyes on these super beachy flare dresses from ZALORA:
