Cleansing with Jeju Island goodness - innisfree Cleansing Foam Review

If there's one thing you should save on skin care, it'd be cleanser! As we grow wiser and hotter (lol am not admitting the age), skin care is definitely an important investment so you'll save on makeup products later! It's supposed to be the monsoon season now, but am always feeling icky and hot cause of the every changing weather. One day you'll find yourself burning under the hot sun, or just feeling ick cause of the humid, rainy weather.

Cleansing is always the first step of skin care regimen and it need not be the most expensive product in your stash. Go with a basic cleanser suited with your needs - whether it's oily, normal, dry or combination. And one very good tip when it comes to economical buy would be to grab skincare when they're on promotion, never when they're on normal price.

If you're living in Asia, you've gotta heard about innisfree - an awesome brand from Korea that boasts organic/natural ingredients all the way from Jeju island. It's a mid range Korean brand but I'm sure they have something that everyone will need. :)

I got these cleansers in Seoul back in 2015 during my sister's wedding there, and since it was Spring season, you'll just go cray cray over the spring clearance sales. Again, I repeat, never buy when they're on normal price. In Malaysia, it retails from RM32 to even RM100+ (Crazy online sellers) but I got these for 14,000won =RM28 (Buy 1 Free 1). The exchange rate at that time just costed me about RM14/cleanser. Dead cheap and damn great! So, you'll know what to order when any of your friends/bff goes on holi in Korea.

Okay, since we get to pick any two types of cleanser, I went for the innisfree green tea cleansing foam while my sis picked the innisfree Jeju volcanic pore cleansing foam with scoria and green complex. If you'd want to go for value worth, grab the more expensive stuff okay - *hint* pore cleansing foam.

innisfree green team cleansing foam (150ml)

Okay, on the packaging it says that it's made from green tea & green complex (lalang & rumput? hehe) from Pure Jeju island. I love green tea and this is the perfect 'antioxidant' cleanser for my skin. Other than cleansing, it gives your skin moisture, nourishment and smoothness that it craves.

innisfree Jeju volcanic pore cleansing foam (150ml)

If pores are your biggest nightmare (including me), then you'd need to have this. So ingredients include scoria (looked up and it's black fragments from volcano) and green complex (okay i think this is lalang complex!). Made to add a healthy glow to 'dull-looking skin' besides purifying pores. Use this is you've oily skin.

I love it when they have this safety seal on your skin care products. Just cannot imagine those without and if it's been touched or opened by someone else (eek, OCD freak here). Just peel it off and you're good to go!

(Top - green tea, Bottom - volcanic)

Both cleansing form is rich in texture, and you'll just need a really small amount (pea size if you have 'kuaci' sized face like mine) and it forms a really thick lather. I used green tea on one side and volcanic foam on the other.

Just make sure you massage it well onto whole face, and don't forget the sides of your nostril, cupid's bow (oops I missed it here). And just rinse with water (cold or room temperature please).

Please ignore my dark eye circles (been hectic with work). My skin felt tighter with the volcanic cleansing foam while super smooth and supple using the green tea cleanser.

I'd recommend to go for it and if you don't have friends going to Korea, you can check out innisfree stores, or online stores like Gemfive, hermo etc. (Just google it up)

Another product I like is their face mist. 'Konon' Vitamin C mist that you spray onto your face after cleansing and the feeling? Refreshing yet has that citrusy kinda scent (hope it rids mozzies!).

Happy weekend & stay bootiful peepz!
