Must Try Food in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam - Best Grilled Seafood

Ho Chi Minh is also known as Saigon is a city in Southern Vietnam. It is truly famous for French colonial landmarks, land of the motorbikes, Central Post Office to amazing bustling street food/food stalls around city's streets, especially around Ben Thanh Market. This place has always been my top #1 recommended place for the best street food seafood in HCM. Share in below comments if you've great finds for street foods in HCM 😍

Grilled seafood - so good!

Located along "Malaysia Street" near Ben Thanh Market in HCM - you'll find rows of wholesale stores displaying bulk packet baju kurung, jubah for sale. If you're lucky, you'll easily spot local Malaysians doing their bulk shopping here, and even sellers accepting Malaysian Ringgit. Talk about convenience here.. 

Anyway, along the busy streets of 'Malaysia Street' here, don't forget to drop by this quaint little store which serves one of the best grilled seafood in Vietnam to date. During the day time, family members bring out their wholesale T-shirts to display, and by night you'll find a lot of locals enjoying their evening dose of seafood. If you spotted a cool grandma (lady in white hair) here, you're at the right location.

The staff are unable to converse in English, so if you know what you want, just flip & point to a menu which you'll want to try. Otherwise...

Depending on their daily fresh produce, you can just easily point to the seafood for them to grill. 

We picked our favourites and for all the grilled seafood, it is individually grilled by this amazing grandma! 

Note: The store is really small and narrow, just enjoy it like the locals do with the low chairs and tables.

Must try - grilled mussels & spicy soup clams... The ladyboss showed us how to enjoy the spicy clam. Using your fingers, pick up a clam, savor the flesh and using the clam shell as a spoon, take a sip at this super aromatic, fragrant spicy broth! 

It is really amazing! Everything was gone in minutes! 😋😋😋
