Cool off steam - Japanese dessert at KAKIGORI Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya

Happy New Year 2017 peeps! And yes, the hot season is back again. Have almost gotten sick of the rainy streak for the past half year of 2016. It's the time we buck up for bikini season, or let of steam by having cold desserts. Found out about this place from Instagram and plus its location in the quiet PJ area make it easy for anyone to come and chill out.

KAKIGORI in Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya

Super hipster dessert place. Just had a really heavy brunch and in need of a cooling yet something-that-don't-make-you-throw-up-kinda-dessert. Was pouring so heavily and so waited in the car for a bit while trying to recover from food koma. The queue was super crazy but in a short while it cleared up.

I'm a fan of unique cafes/restaurants and don't you just love how raw and 'green' the vibe gives? Another plus point would be that everything is just Instagram worthy, you'd better have a good camera with you okay! :)

BTW, do you see those three shelves on the brick walls? Well, they're not just your regular shelves, but it's where your number gets called and you'd have to pick up your dessert from. Cool concept, I know! Plus, once you're done, you just need to drop it off at the counter at the back (where the guy in black shirt is at).

On your far left, here's where you pick your menu. It's a Japanese-esque shaved ice dessert place in fact. And tried not to go with the norm of green tea shaved ice. Me and the tiger didn't want anything super sweet, so we had the staff recommend something that's refreshing, light and non-diabetic-ish. Hehe ;)

Here you go... We ordered the Watermelon. Perfect to rehydrate and plus it's tiger's favourite fruit. Too pretty it took us like, 10 minutes before we actually digged in. Yes, the camera gets to 'eat' as always.

Costed RM17, which is quite expensive. But once we collected this bad boy, I knew how carefully the ingredients have been picked.

It's like a concoction of fruits that snowed from the holy Japanese lands. (haha, that was a little exaggerated!) Light, super fluffy cream and bits of strawberries, grapes, rose petals and crushed pistachios looked like they were floating on clouds. Couldn't wait to dig in!

Side View - It's really massive and just nice for sharing.

Gorgeous interiors with smart, space saving concept layout.

And if you're wondering what's on the inside...here you go. I'd say refreshingly perfect for hot hot hot Malaysia weather. Okay, till the next time, stay hydrated always! :)
