It's not easy to understand the Japanese culture, let alone on food. There's always a rule to taking Japanese food or else you'll just offend/insult them unintentionally. Recently caught up with a friend and decided to try out this Tonkatsu place in Publika (LG floor). Have always passed by this place and just perfect to try this out as had recently been having Italian, Korean and Thai food. To be honest, Tonkatsu has never been my thing - I try to stay away from deep fried meat, but decided to give it a go here. It really changed my perspective for super awesome fried food minus the guilt! Tonkatsu ( 豚カツ , とんかつ or トンカツ , pork cutlet ) is a popular Japanese dish that is deep fried breaded pork cutlet. Quest of perfect complexion seem just ridiculous - how much more of skincare can we slap onto our palm-sized face (my kuaci sized face Btw)? Initially I was confused with the packaging, if it meant to dispense from top or from the front? Hands down though for an 'atas' packaging and finishing. Anyway, I was so stoked to try this out! Threesome - Brown Rice, Bario Rice & Barley As yours truly is from you've soaked Borneo, I'd like to introduce Bario Rice. Bario Rice is the staple food for most Sarawakians. Bario is a place located in the northern region of highlands in Sarawak and at 3,500 above sea level. Because of the fertile soil, fresh air, cool temperature and great climate, it produces the best rice ever - rich in mineral and vitamin than normal rice. You can get this rice from most markets or sundry shops all over Sarawak, and even comes in blue, black, maroon and rice color. My mum packs these when any of my family member visits KL, so my kitchen has sufficient supply of bario rice. For those who are in KL, you can find brown rice at most hypermarkets. Bario Rice - Black Brown You can find 'hill grains' at most supermarkets selling for about RM12-RM15 per pack. You can mix it to your regular brown rice.
